So sorry that Jupiter is having this problem. You could try a Feliway diffuser and Solliquin chews and see if that helps relieve any stress and make him happier. You could also talk to your vet about trying an anti-anxiety medication, like Trazodone or Prozac to see if that helps. It's great that you want to be prepared for your new kitten! Aside from the obvious things for the kitten like food and water bowls, I'd recommend a tall scratching post and perch. Two litter boxes in different areas of the house are recommended. Canned kitten food (and canned adult cat food as Myla gets older) is preferred over dry food. Hello my cat is an inside and out cat, I live in Florida. I have two litter boxes for him it is a clumping brand so it's an easy clean up, he has no problem using them. the question is the box I have put outside is clumping with out my cat using it,
If the box is not covered I would recommend doing so but otherwise try a wood pellet based litter which can be quite similar in texture; you may need to try a few brands until you find one that is acceptable to Storm!

Congratulations!! I would recommend making sure you get kitten appropriate toys, two litter boxes and kitten food. At 1 month of age I would recommend a wet kitten food. I would also recommend clumping litter for her. You can always get her other fun stuff like a soft bed for her. I would hold off on any treats until she gets used to her new home. Hi there. Most cats prefer an unscented clumping litter with a fine, sand-like texture - so I would recommend offering something like this. The litter box should be large with low sides, so it's easy for her to get in. If you try this and she still has no interest in using the litter box, then you may need to observe what type of surface she prefers to potty on and use something similar to this in her litter box.
