So sorry that Jupiter is having this problem. You could try a Feliway diffuser and Solliquin chews and see if that helps relieve any stress and make him happier. You could also talk to your vet about trying an anti-anxiety medication, like Trazodone or Prozac to see if that helps. Below is also a link to a good website that provides information on how to enrich the life of indoor cats to keep them happy and healthy. Good luck! https://www.feliway.com/us#redirected http://www.solliquin.com/ https://indoorpet.osu.edu/cats

Hi, in terms of cat furniture don’t worry cats don’t need anything particularly fancy. They enjoy sitting on a shelf as in the picture and look outside the window. You would add some cardboard boxes that can also work as cratching posts and a couple of pillow on the bookshelf. I think the feeding area would better be moved, because being right in front of the windows is exposed, they can see/be seen and could spot something that might upset them. It is also advisable to keep feeding areas away from their litter tray and perhaps moving it would help increasing this distance. Are there only two cats in the room ? If so also consider the number of litter trays. I mo not sure how many you have at present, and if things work out well I probably would suggest not to change them. You can find lots of ideas in building/creating cat furniture from ikea furniture if you fancy a change in the future. Also cats will need to be active and interact with you so make sure you consider this in your rou

He is adorable! This sounds like a behavioral issue. . I know you said you give him a lot of attention and play time but you may need to do some "environmental enrichment" as well (see links below). And if Feliway is available in your country you should definitely get some diffusers for your house. Poor Stella. It sounds like she is suffering from a bit of anxiety since y'all left. I would try adding some feliway diffusers through the house. These are cat pheromones to help calm them but unfortunately, doesn't work on every one. I would also try some calming chews called vetriscience composure. If these don't help, I would talk to your vet about an anti-anxiety medicine to see if that helps. I guess if all else fails, you can remove any mirrors that she can easily access. I hope this helps!

Cats typically rub on things that they are trying to reclaim, especially when they are on inanimate objects. If you go away from the home, with Chandler, and then come back home, he is likely trying to reclaim his possessions in the home. : ) No worries, this is natural for cats to do. For future, here is a really good resource to get into the psyche of cats a bit more for your own understanding and pleasure. They really are very unique pets to have and bring fulfillment in many ways. Take care! jacksongalaxy.com
