Get a Kong and stuff it with kibble or treats. Then smear peanut butter (make sure it does not contain any xylitol) over the hole completely. Put it in the freezer for a few hours. The coolness will feel good on M. J’s gums. In general King toys are a favorite for dogs. Rope toys can also massage the gum when he bites into them. If you go to the Pet Store or online you can find toys specifically for teething puppies. They can often be put in the refrigerator. As a sidenote, always check his toys for any pieces that he could tear off and swallow as this could cause an intestinal blockage. Throw away any of those toys and buy him new ones when this occurs. I hope you find this helpful and please feel free to post any additional questions!

Great question! There are lots of things that you can put inside a Kong toy for puppies to chew on. Personally, I like peanut butter for this purpose, or canned puppy food - you can also freeze the Kong after stuffing it, so that it takes longer for Ghontu to get the food out. You can also put her regular kibble inside, then put a bit of peanut butter over the opening to seal it in. The Kong company also has a number of suggestions on their website for things that can be put inside for dogs to eat - you can check out their recipes here: https://www.kongcompany.com/recipes/

Kong toys are my favorite. You can pack them with treats, freeze chicken broth inside of them, and they are almost indestructible. Also switching toys often so they don’t “get bored” with what is available to them.

Yes, puppies and dogs can have [peanut butter](https://www.petcoach.co/canigive/dog/peanut-butter). Make sure it does not contain the artificial sweetener [xylitol](https://www.petcoach.co/article/6-products-that-contain-xylitol) which is toxic to dogs. Also, to prevent obesity, treats should make up no more than 10% of the total daily calories. I recommend freezing the peanut butter in the [treat-dispensing toy](https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/kong-wobbler-food-dispensing-dog-toy) overnight in the freezer, and that will occupy him for a long time. There are a number of ways to keep your puppy occupied with a treat-filled toy while you are away. Yes, you can give Jack a Kong toy. Those are safe for puppies to chew on (they have puppy sized ones), and you can fill them with treats for him. There are also toys that you can get that you can freeze, and that helps with teething behaviors, as chewing often is related to teething in dogs. Do not put dental cream on anything, as the ingredients are not safe for puppies to ingest.
