How to stop dog scratching new soft travel crate and tearing it?

Hi there. Rogue is adorable!! Thanks for the photos! I would suggest you try putting him in the crate with a REALLY good treat for small periods of time each day. Start with only 5 minutes and then each day increase by a minute or two. When I say a REALLY good treat I mean one like a Kong with stuff inside so that #1, it is a good experience for him to be inside the crate from the moment he gets in and #2, it will occupy him for some period of time (instead of a small bite of a treat he eats in one second). https://www.kongcompany.com/101/kong-101/ Hope this helps. Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Bad Sam! Can you leash him to the foot of your bed so he can't wander off to other things? If that doesn't work or isn't possible I think it is fine and not cruel to crate him at night. He should be sleeping anyway and it will also keep HIM and your stuff safe. Good luck!

How to create a budget-friendly cat room setup for cats and a dog?

Hi, in terms of cat furniture don’t worry cats don’t need anything particularly fancy. They enjoy sitting on a shelf as in the picture and look outside the window. You would add some cardboard boxes that can also work as cratching posts and a couple of pillow on the bookshelf. I think the feeding area would better be moved, because being right in front of the windows is exposed, they can see/be seen and could spot something that might upset them. It is also advisable to keep feeding areas away from their litter tray and perhaps moving it would help increasing this distance. Are there only two cats in the room ? If so also consider the number of litter trays. I mo not sure how many you have at present, and if things work out well I probably would suggest not to change them. You can find lots of ideas in building/creating cat furniture from ikea furniture if you fancy a change in the future. My dog and cat share a crate. Should they sleep in new beds?

If the sleeping arrangements work well right now then I would probably stay with what works. If you decide to switch, and it doesn’t work out well you can always go Back to a crate at night, but it will probably take several night of retraining. Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Part of it is that it is harder to appreciate a lameness when a pet is running so that may be part of it. Lameness can be a sign of a few things that range from a muscle sprain to even a fracture. I recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian so that this can be further assessed which will likely include radiographs. Treatment will be dependent on findings though at the very least pain control medications can be prescribed. Good luck! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
