Thanks for using Boop by Petco. I'm sorry to hear Katniss has been ill. Cerenia is an anti-nausea medication. Animals with vestibular disease often feel "motion sick" - having something similar to vertigo. So this is great for that. It also helps settle the stomach which helps with appetite. Mirtazapine is a true appetite stimulant. Even with both of these, the balance apparatus is very mad and so falling over may still happen. I recommend bringing slightly warmed wet food to his face a few times daily to encourage eating. If no improvement in the vestibular signs within a week, I recommend a CT scan of the head to look for inner ear infection or, heaven forbid, a tumor. Vaseline is ok for paw pads, though olive oil or coconut oil is even better. To be honest, most cracked paw pads are not painful and do not need treatment. Thanks for using Boop by Petco! There are several diets available in the market as you have probably noticed. I personally prefer Purina, Royal canin and Science Diet foods as they are of high quality and have research to back up their use. Any of their variations should be good for Maddi. Good luck and have a great day!

Hello. Yes, there are appetite stimulants that we often give to cats & I am sure your veterinarian is aware of this. Common ones are mirtazapine & cyproheptadine. Cerenia is often used just because it treats nausea, and a newer product called Entyce is being used extra-label in cats ( it is only approved for dogs right now, but the company is working on a cat application). One of the adverse effects with Felimazole is the possibility of loss of appetite. Sometimes discontinuing the medication for a few days & restarting at a lower dose gradually increasing to full dosage is necessary. Hopefully, Dutchess will be feeling better soon. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! There are a few medications for appetite stimulation but my preferred ones are mirtazapine and Entyce. However, the best thing to improve appetite is to find out what is causing the appetite to be low and treat it. I would encourage you to check in with your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a great day!

I recommend you check out cat treats by Orijen. They have a wide variety of treats that contain meats other than chicken and seafood such as lamb, boar, and venison :-) https://www.orijen.ca/foods/cat-food/freeze-dried-cat-treats/?lang=us
