You can buy those products at Petco for Beaux. I would advise to only purchase Frontline or Advantix. I would not get anything cheaper than that. Be aware that these are still your best over the counter products but fleas are developing immunity to them. In general, the oral products like Simparica and Bravecto are the best. There are many illnesses in cats that are considered chronic, such as kidney disease and heart disease to name two. Without knowing Max's symptoms or seeing him in person, I can't say if he has one or not. I'd make an appointment with a vet to have him checked out.
