Hello. I am so sorry that Max has had such a serious surgery. It is very normal for him to be sleepy as his body has undergone a very trying trauma. Plus, there is still some residual anesthetic drugs in his system. If he needs assistance getting up, placing a towel around his chest & using this as a lift device will help. Otherwise, you might just put some absorbent pads under him so that if he pees, it will at least keep him a little drier. He should feel better tomorrow & get stronger each day. I do hope Max is feeling better soon. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

HI, thanks for using Boop by Petco. Max could be a Spitz or a Samoyed. Or a mix. Max may need time adjusting to a new home. Try adding warm water to his food or adding a tablespoon of canned food mixed with water to see if that will get him to eat. Try sitting with him while he eats. Good luck!

Hello. This could be mange, so on Monday your vet can do some skin scrapes to see definitively if this is the case. For now, I would just give Max a good bath using any shampoo labeled for fleas & ticks. Having clean skin is the first step in healing any skin problems. I am so glad you found Max & you are so concerned about helping him. He will hopefully give you many years of happiness. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! It really depends on what it is that you are feeling at this moment. I highly recommend that you have Max evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. What needs to be done really depends on what is really going on and what it is that you are able to feel. If there no clinical symptoms, it could even be a normal anatomical variant you are able to palpate. Your veterinarian would be able to tell you more in detail what the plan should be based on the examination. Good luck!

It is hard to state exactly what to do to make Max feel better. He really needs a veterinarian to perform a physical examination on him and some diagnostics. If there is an emergency veterinarian in your area I would recommend bringing him there. I would ask neighbors to see if there is someone open right now. I am concerned if Max does not get help he will continue to decline. I hope Max feels better soon and thank you for using Boop by Petco.
