Hello, thank you for using Boop by Petco. 500mg is a pretty high dose of Methocarbamol for a 10 pound dog. At the very high end of the "normal" dosing range the dose would be 200mg. That being said, luckily the drug is very safe even at high doses. He probably just needs to sleep it off. DO NOT give him any more medication until you speak to your vet. If he starts vomiting or the sleeping lasts more than a total of 24 hours then you need to take him to your vet or to the ER. As always, if you are really worried at this time you should take him to the ER for an exam. You know him best so if you. are worried you should act on that. Here is a link to an article about this medication's use in dogs: ( https://www.petplace.com/article/drug-library/drug-library/library/methocarbamol-robaxin-v-for-dogs-and-cats/ ) Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Hi there. There are no reported contraindications to using methocarbamol with vetmedin, enalapril, or thyroxine. They should all be fine when used together. Best of luck and thank you for using Pet Coach.

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Methocarbamol is Robaxin which is a muscle relaxant. It can cause sedation or grogginess. It doesn't need to be weaned and can be stopped abruptly. I would say it should be out of his system by 12 hours but some animals are more sensitive than others. I would recommend reaching out to your Vet about this side effect. If his breathing is concerning he should be seen as trouble breathing can be life threatening. If he is on other medications like steroids (medrol or prednisone) it is much more common to have these medications cause urination in the house and panting. I wish you and Porter the best!

Hello. According to several Veterinary Formularies, the normal dose of Marbocyl for a 5-pound cat can range from 6 to 12 mg so you have not overdosed him. And there are no reported neurological effects of this medication which is exceptionally safe in cats. " With the exception of cartilage abnormalities in very young animals, the adverse effect profile of marbofloxacin is limited to GI distress ( vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia & soft stools ) and decreased activity." I would take your cat to another veterinarian because there is something else going on here to cause these symptoms or the infection is just not responding to this antibiotic. I hope he is feeling better soon. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Normally, it is safe to administer these medications together. However, I do not recommend that you administer any medications if they have not been prescribed by a veterinarian as some of these medications can cause side effects and pre-screening bloodwork should be performed. Good luck and have a good night!
