Hello. This medication is known as metoclopramide in the US, & it is labeled to be administered under the skin in addition to in the muscle, so yes, you can give this to your cat under the skin. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

My understanding of your question os taht you are concerned about your cat having loose bowel movements, her stool is loose like she has some mild diarrhea. Am I understanding you correctly? If so, then you can try adding a probiotic; there are some good ones formulated for cats. Ideally, take Chikoo to a veterinarian. If your vet diagnoses Giardia or an overgrowith of bacteria, often the medication metronidazole is prescribed. Metronidazole is not labeled for use in animals, though it has been used safely and effectively. See additional information here: https://cdn.ymaws.com/www.aavpt.org/resource/resmgr/imported/metronidazole.pdf Thank you for asking Boop by Petco!

ClearLAX is a generic form of Miralax. It has the same active ingredient in the same was that Ibuprofen is the generic form of Advil. We know that a generic product has the same active ingredient. So, it should work the same as Miralax. That being said, sometimes name brand products do work better than generic products, so if you try it and Elvis' stools seem to be harder or he seems to have having a harder time defecating, I would certainly switch back to Miralax. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Hello, thank you for using Boop by Petco. There are no known contraindications with using mirtazapine and cisapride together but remember, all cats react differently to medications so if you notice any abnormal issues then stop the medications immediately and call your vet. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

It would be best to consult with your veterinarian before changing treatment or giving other medications. Legally, we are prohibited from recommending medications or dosing information in the absence of a physical exam and a patient-veterinarian-client relationship. You can try withholding food for 24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or an unflavored electrolyte replacement beverage. Resume feeding a bland diet in small frequent amounts until symptoms resolve. Transition slowly to the regular diet afterwards. A stool sample should be submitted to diagnose intestinal parasites or bacterial overgrowth. A veterinary probiotic such as Prostora, FortiFlora or ProViable may promote gut health.
