Hello Please help.. My dog is 27,5kg, she is a 21 months old GSD. WE've just moved and sing up with a new vet.. The time came for the worming tablets, we use Milbemax chewable; In the past we always got 2 big tablets as advised on the packaging but
Because the dosing range for Milbemax is so broad (5-25kg and 25-50kg) and because Samantha is right on the border of the dosing range, it is possible your new vet felt that one larger and one smaller tablet would be an adequate amount to protect Samantha. I recommend you check with your vet to be sure.

On this website you will be able to type in the medication and dose and it will provide you with coupon codes and the location of where you need to obtain the product. Regardless of what site you use you will still need to obtain a prescription from your veterinarian. I always caution my clients when they are planning to purchase these types of products from pharmacies of unknown origin as we cannot be certain how the drugs are being stored and what source they are obtaining the drugs from. Do your due diligence before deciding on which place to use. I have had relatively good experiences with Valley Vet Supply.

Skin parasites can range from ticks/fleas where I would suggest a flea/tick preventive such as Seresto collar, Capstar or Bravecto. Bravecto is an oral medication that off-label can also protect from mange and mites. Bravecto can be ordered by your vet and the collar or topical flea/tick preventive is over the counter in the USA. the vet gave me Combo Guard and Simple Guard to use on my dog. Is there something else I can use? do I have to use both?
These drugs are used for different reasons. Combo Guard is used to prevent heartworms and intestinal worms, along with fleas. Simple Guard protects against fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, lice, mites, and sand flies. In order to protect your dog again heartworms and intestinal worms, then yes you have to use both. You can use Advantage Multi that controls fleas, prevents heartworm infection, and kills intestinal parasites, but that is available by prescription only from your vet. If you want to go back to your vet to get it, then it's fine to use, but if not, I would use the medication your vet gave you for him.

Which natural nutritional supplements do you reccomend for my Cavalier? I want to keep my girl healthy and with me for as long as possible. Cavaliers are known to have many health issues; particularly heart, eye, and joint.
A good quality essential fatty acid supplement, such as DermCaps or EicosaCaps, will promote healthy skin and coat. A quality multi-vitamin such as Pet Tabs, VetriScience tabs or NuPro can be added to a quality diet. Recommended joint supplements include Welactin, Dasuquin or Cosequin. The most important factor is to keep Mila lean and active. Obesity and inactivity will negatively impact her life and may shorten it. Regular veterinary care, especially echocardiograms when she is older, may identify any conditions early.
