Love his name! That is awesome! I would recommend Revolution or Advantage Multi. I personally like Advantage Multi better. Any product containing a heartworm prevention is a prescription item so you need to get your vet to either dispense the product or write you a script. I hope this helps. Best of luck with your move!

Cats do not require heartworm test prior to these medications. Drontal is a good idea to use with these as it covers tapeworms and those products do not. I like advantage multi as I feel it protects against fleas better

I would recommend the new product Simparica for flea and tick control (prevents 5 different tick species, including brown dog tick) and Heartgard for heartworm prevention. Then revolution for the cat for heartworm and flea prevention since there is no tick preventative available for cats.

Good question. So the Heartgard is more of a preventative heartworm and intestinal worm prevention that you should give once a month to protect your pet. The one on the left (Bayer) is only going to treat your pet for tapeworms if he is currently infected. Tapeworms are easily seen in the stool because they are big and look like little white rice or fried rice when dried up. If not seen, then I would stick with the preventative Heartgard for now. I hope that this is helpful information for your furry friend Keke moving forward! Best wishes and take care. : )

In order to feworm him and also hit tape worm you will need a wormer for cats with the ingredient of "Praziquantel". Tape worm are transmitted by fleas, so you will also need to do flea control. Unfortunately fleas only hop on the body of your pet when they want to feed, then they hop off again and stay in your pet's environment. So you need to treat all pets in the household as well as the environment (which contains the fleas, their eggs and larvae). Flea treatment: 1) Get some flea medication such as a Flea spray or a spot on from a pet shop or your veterinarian and apply monthly 2) get flea powder, put some in your vacuum cleaner bag and vacuum your house and furniture and also non-carpeted areas frequently to remove flea larvae and eggs which live off house dust., Dispose of the bag in the trash outside. Hot-wash all the pet's bedding, If you do this diligently for a few months you will get rid of the fleas. Flea products: Spot-ons and/or chews Advantage, Advantage Multi Frontli
