We're going on a long road trip. Do you have any advice on what should I bring for our little wigglebutt? Except papers,water bottle and snacks and few favourite toys and protection for her. What else should I do?
Other fun things are a safety blanket, collar and leash, id tags just in case, Benadryl tablets in case of sting etc at a rest stop, and sounds like you have the rest covered! Happy travels to you and Bella!

Whether or not it is safe to leave your dog at your sisters will depend on your dog. If he has never been around children before or has shown any aggression towards children, then it is less safe. No dog should be left unattended around children, so it is best if your dog hasn't been around the baby to keep it in an area separated from where the baby will be- either a separate area of the house or outdoors. Some dogs are fine with babies, others may be made anxious by the presence of a baby or they may view the baby as a prey due to small size and the funny noises the baby makes. Since your dog is so small, perhaps putting it in a pen inside your sister's house would work. He shouldn't be hard to contain due to his size. Whether you should bring him with you is going to depend on where you area going- do they allow dogs? will it be very hot outside? will you have to leave the dog in a car? That sounds like a lot of fun for Sara and the rest of the crew!!! I would definitely recommend to get all the dogs use to each other well before the trip, that way if there are some aggression issues or other problems, these can be addressed right away. It would be a good idea to get all the dogs use to long car rides. If some of the dogs don't travel well, you can talk to their vet about sedatives/anti-anxiety medications. Also you will need to make sure that all pets are up to date on vaccines as well as flea AND heartworm prevention. I recommend to use a more complete heartworm prevention such as Interceptor or even a combo product like Trifexis. These products prevent heartworm and also have activity against 3 intestinal worms. This is smart since the dogs will be traveling and thus have higher exposure. Lastly, you should carry with you the vaccine records and to be safe, get an interstate health certificate on each one. Many dogs suffer from anxiety when travelling, acclimatizing them to a safe crate now before the journey home, which can be used in the car can help as can calming supplements, pheromone sprays and magnetic collars. In severe cases, a vet may prescribe mild tranquilizer medications but these are not without risks outside of the supervision of trained veterinary staff, especially on a long journey and with an older pug. Why does she stand up in the car? Very rarely I’ll be able to get her to sit down
Lots of dogs like to stand up in the car, usually to look out the window. It can be dangerous, however, so I would get Daisy a car harness. This will buckle her into her seat and keep her safe. You can find them online and at pet stores. I hope this helps!
