A shiny, glossy coat is beautiful on a dog. What’s not so beautiful is dandruff: white flakes of dead skin cells.

I don't have specific familiarity with N &D, but I know Royal Canin has a veterinarian on staff and is providing appropriate oversight for the food. I would recommend calling N & D to see if they have a board-certified veterinary nutritionist on staff - if they don't, stick with Royal Canin.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Dollag looks like she has a skin infection. She could have microscopic mites, a bacterial, or a yeast infection. I recommend taking her to a vet for an exam and to test the skin for the above things. I would stop using human shampoo as dogs skin and ours have different pH levels and can make things much worse. The decreased appetite could be from the diet change or because her skin is so uncomfortable. At this point in time, there is nothing all natural you can do until the infection is cleared. After it is addressed you can talk to your vet about what caused the infection and ways to prevent them in the future. This may be medicated dog shampoos or other medications. Good luck and I hope Dollag gets relief soon!

Both of them are products containing omega 3 fatty acids and vitamins and fish oil basically. Any veterinary product available in Portugal with similar content (ask your local veterinarian as unfortunately I do not know about veterinary market products in Portugal) will be fine. These are not specific medicines but only supplements that can help with allergic skin but not treat the signs (itch usually). Drugs that will help with the signs would be basically steroids, Apoquel, and immunosuppressive medications. Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation (where you can post pictures ) if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! There are many omega 3 supplements you can buy online. I prefer the Nordic natural products that you can get from amazon as they are high quality and well-tolerated. It does help with the dandruff and skin issues in general. Good luck!
