What kind of chew bone can dogs eat that is safe for digesting example:Deer horns, Cow Horns, Pig Ears, or Rawhide.
My personal preference is compressed rawhide (not regular rawhide). Pig ears and Nylabones are OK too. Any of these types of treats you give them should only be given supervised. I give my 4 month old puppy hard chew sticks such as pig ears, chicken sticks and she really likes them and keeps her busy. She does bite alot and it calms her down. I'm not sure if this is really healthy for her.
Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. The pig ears and chicken sticks typically have a lot of preservatives in them and can cause GI upset. I usually recommend the Kong toys filled with peanut butter or dental chew sticks like Oravet or Greenies. If Honey does ok with the chews you are giving her now, then in moderation these should be ok to give her every now and then. Are pig ear treat good or bad for my yorkie puppy(12 weeks)?
Pig's ears can be OK in small quantities and with strict monitoring, however large pieces can cause a young dog (and even older dogs) to choke, so removing any pieces that become too soft or pose a choking hazard is best. Other toys such as a Kong filled with treats or peanut butter, or a Nylabone that is more digestible and chewable are great safer alternatives to give and still stimulate chewing needs.

My dog had parvo when he was a puppy so he has a sensitive stomach. I’ve never really given him many treats but since he’s getting older I thought I’d give it a try. Are there any cons to giving him all natural pig ears? And specific recommendations
natural pig ears are usually a good option also on a point of view of potential allergies, i do not see any cons unless you discover after giving it that your dog is allergic or doesn't react well to it. do start slowly and give him 2 a week to start with.

Well I personally like Beggin Strips. My dogs love them, and there is no chance of a choking hazard. I never recommend rawhides due to choking and obstruction concerns. Normally I'd recommend pig ears, but I understand there is a salmonella outbreak now with pig ears. I don't do many treats because they really aren't needed.
