Senior cats can certainly be a challenge. You didn't mention if Tony eats canned or dry food. Since you are having to change every few days, I would suspect that it is canned. One thing that will entice my older cat to eat is if a grind up dry food and sprinkle it over the canned food. Dry foods have a number of flavor additives in them and grinding them up (in a coffee grinder) seems to make them smell better to an older cat. (You can also do this if Tony has a favorite dry treat.) Adding small amounts of the water that canned tuna, salmon or chicken are packed in can also be a good way to get them to eat if he likes those flavors. There are a number of companies that make food "toppers" that are ment to be extra flavorful. Some cats really love liver, so dehydrated liver treats or toppers are a great idea for senior cats. Finally, sometimes we rotate foods on a regular basis instead of just feeding him a food for as long as he will eat it. Good luck! I hope that was helpfu

Cat food for heart health containing taurine
All cat foods now contain taurine which is an essential amino acid for cats. I personally feed all my animals Hills food since they do a lot a scientific research and their foods are based on optimal nutrients, not excessive nutrients that can add weight or unnecessary stress on the internal organs. My new kitty cat is two years old and was adopted from a shelter in July so she’s been fixed and chipped. I’m assuming they gave her whatever shots she would need. This information may be on the papers on her that I will get on Wednesday. My question
Hunny Cat is so beautiful! If you are adopting her from a shelter, she should have a check up with the vet before being given to her new home. Ask them if she has seen a vet, and if she has, then you don't need to take her into a vet now for a check up. I would only do it if she hasn't seen a vet recently. In terms of food, for the supermarket brands, I feel Purina One is the best. Other brands of food I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. For treats, I like Temptations. My cats love their treats, and come running whenever I shake the bag. I hope this helps!
