Poor Stella. It sounds like she is suffering from a bit of anxiety since y'all left. I would try adding some feliway diffusers through the house. These are cat pheromones to help calm them but unfortunately, doesn't work on every one. I would also try some calming chews called vetriscience composure. If these don't help, I would talk to your vet about an anti-anxiety medicine to see if that helps. I guess if all else fails, you can remove any mirrors that she can easily access. I hope this helps!

He is adorable! This sounds like a behavioral issue. . I know you said you give him a lot of attention and play time but you may need to do some "environmental enrichment" as well (see links below). And if Feliway is available in your country you should definitely get some diffusers for your house. Budgies do enjoy mirrors and this is a great way to enhance environmental enrichment so they have their reflection to talk to and look at. I would rotate the mirror in and out every couple of weeks as mirrors can sometimes cause behavioral problems with these birds. I rotate mirrors out every 1-2 weeks with my budgie and he loves talking to his reflection. I like this because I am gone working so much during the day so it keeps him occupied.

I wouldn't be concerned by this behavior. It sounds like Silky is just exploring her surroundings and likes the mirror. As long as she is behaving normally otherwise I would not be concerned. Thanks for using Boop by Petco!

Unfortunately, it's likely impossible to know why Sky is acing this way. It's possible something has scared her about the mirror and now she has developed a negative association. You may try to counteract this by creating a positive association. Begin by having a high value treat or toy. Start playing/a training session close to the mirror, trying to make it not a big deal. Reward her every time she looks at the mirror and doesn't bark. Do this for a few days. Once Sky seems comfortable playing by the door way, toss the toy or treat next to the mirror gently and allow her to retrieve it and continue the playing. Do this until Sky is comfortable. Practice walking in and out of the room with her and reward her every time she she looks at the mirror and is quiet. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
