Best Flea / Parasite pill for CATS?
I usually use Stronghold or Revolution. These products are spot on though but they are very effective. Otherwise there are different tablets for fleas and worms (one for worms and a different one for parasites). Hello! I suspect my cat has some type of worm and wanted to ensure the medicines I will provide are a safe combination. He is treated approximately every 6 weeks with Advantage Multi; in case this is tapeworms I would also like to treat with Drontal.
The Advantage Multi and Drontal contain different ingredients that do not negatively interact in the body, so they are safe to give together. Drontal usually comes in a size-specific bottle for cats and will have the recommended dosage labeled on the side. I recommend only using the Drontal as stated by the manufacturer. A vet can easily test for the type of parasites present and will be able to give you the best treatment options and prevention advice for the future. Love his name! That is awesome! I would recommend Revolution or Advantage Multi. I personally like Advantage Multi better. Any product containing a heartworm prevention is a prescription item so you need to get your vet to either dispense the product or write you a script. I hope this helps. Best of luck with your move!

Hello. I am feeding food to a lot of stray cats in my neighborhood. I found that a couple of stray cats have lice problem. I want to help but they won't let me get close. Is there any medication that I can mix in the food to help kill lice on them? T
Thanks for using Boop by Petco. Unfortunately, there is nothing orally for cats that works to my knowledge. All the options for cats that I am aware of are topical. If you do decide to try a topical product PLEASE read the labels carefully as there are a few that are sold for dogs that are FATAL to cats. I like Advantage II from Bayer. It is over the counter, very effective, and lasts about 4 weeks - long enough to break the life cycle. Unfortunately, all the cats would need to be treated at the same time to prevent re-infestation. The type of dewormer depends on the intestinal parasite. If you post or describe the parasite I might be able to help you further.
