For short walks, a few minutes, she can probably go out as is. If you plan on spending more than 5-10 minutes outside or if Maggie takes a long time to do her business, then you may want to consider booties and a coat. Thanks for using Boop by Petco! While not necessarily normal, this can certainly be seen during the winter months. If she is otherwise fine, I would not be too concerned about this. However, if she develops any other symptoms like decreased appetite or vomiting, have her evaluated then. Good luck!

Many dogs can be trained to run on a tread mill! This is commonly used for dogs who live in cold climates or have owners who are not able to tolerate cold weather. A trainer or behaviorist can help in the training but many people figure it out at home often with the help of guide books and videos. If Nyssa likes to play tug of war, purchase a tug toy and set aside 20 minutes a day to play with her. This is a good, dry/warm indoor activity! Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! It isn't a perfectly accurate chart. It is a good guideline though and likely depends on the dogs tolerance (getting used to prolonged cold weather), breed (arctic breeds) and how long haired the pet is. Also wind chills would have to come in to play. I think for the layperson that have dogs that are not conditioned to extremely cold weather can be helpful. But I agree it leaves out a lot of important factors. In some ways it is better to be safe than sorry! I hope this helps!

I would get them doggie sweaters! This will help keep them warm both inside and outside the house. They can wear the sweaters indoors, and you can also get thick doggie coats for them to wear outside. Pet stores will carry these, and some of the stuff they have is really cute. I'd buy those for your dogs. I hope this helps!
