How can I potty train my almost 8 month old biewer terrier because I am finding it really difficult to potty train her on a puppy pad.
Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco. I honestly would recommend using Fresh Patch. I've had so many clients have success stories with potty training their puppy because of this product. It is basically a patch of grass that you order online that comes in a cardboard box that auto-ships to you to replace the used one. I would look into this and try it out to see if it helps more than the puppy pad. I hope this helps! I have had several clients with dogs that had this same problem . What worked for them really well is a product called Fresh Patch, which is essentially just a square of grass that sits in a cardboard box. I find that this product works very well for getting dogs to go to the bathroom on grass and outdoors for training. I would see if there is something similar in India or if they ship to India. If not, then I would recommend installing a dog door at the house or something and see if that helps.

Since the behavior only occurs when you are away and resolves when you get back, I wonder if it is stress related. There are a number of options to decrease stress. You could consider an Adaptil diffuser which would work for a month ( https://www.adaptil.com/us/Products/ADAPTIL-Calm-Home-Diffuser ). I have also had luck with Rescue Remedy ( http://www.bachflower.com/rescue-remedy-pet/ ) which can be added to the water. More frequent walks outside may also help stop this inappropriate urination and then rewarding him when he does urinate outside every time will help reinforce him going outside.
