What else can I give a 1-4 week old kitten to eat because I don't have kitten food and the store I live close to are closed
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! If the kitten is 3-4 weeks old it can each canned kitten food. There are grocery stores and drug stores that are 24 hours. If it is 1-2 weeks older I would call an emergency vet hospital to see if they carry kitten formula that they will sell you. I've been wondering what type of food should I give Baby to keep her health good, same goes for her kittens. At the same time, I also want her and the kittens to have fluffy fur. What kind of food should I give them? Also, how do I teach the kittens
Baby should have an adult cat food, the kittens needs a kitten food. To help the kittens wean and get used to dry food, I would soak a high quality kitten formulated dry food in warm water until soft. Then mix that with kitten formula such as KMR to make a mush the consistency of oatmeal. Over the next two weeks, gradually increase the amount of dry kitten food and decrease the amount of water and KMR you use until they are eating the dry kitten food only. Brands of food I recommend include Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I hope this helps!

What should I look for in choosing a food for my new kitten?
Kittens do the majority of their growth in the first five to six months of life but continue to grow until they are around one year old. During this time of rapid growth and maturation of their bones, it is very important to choose a complete and balanced diet with the appropriate levels of nutrients. Diets formulated for growth include those labeled for kittens or “all life stages.” Canned foods promote increased water consumption in cats, and feeding dry food exclusively or in combination with canned is also acceptable. Offering a kitten with a variety of textures early in life can be helpful in minimizing the chance of having a picky eater. Regardless of diet selection, always make diet changes gradually by mixing the old and new foods together over five to seven days and make sure to carefully measure the appropriate portions of your cat’s food. Abrupt changes have a greater likelihood of resulting in vomiting and/or diarrhea.
