Thank you for using Boop by Petco! It is definitely a good idea to separate your hamsters to avoid fighting. While a running wheel or ball are great activities it doesn’t necessarily meet a hamster’s normal behavior to burrow. I recommend providing plenty of nesting material in both cages. You can also provide various tubes that encourage further burrowing or huts that allow for hiding and establishing a territory. I hope this helps and am happy to answer any other questions you have!

In most instances a cage is recommended over an aquarium for small mammals because there can be inadequate ventilation with glass aquariums and ammonia from the urine can build up within the cage and cause respiratory problems. A wire cage with small bar spacing is often recommended with a thick layer of paper bedding (such as Carefresh bedding) and plenty of areas to climb and hide.

Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco! Hamsters like to have their food and bed in the same place. The area where Honey goes to the bathroom during the day should be spot cleaned daily and the bedding should be replaced weekly. I recommend leaving a small amount of the old bedding so that the scent from Honey is retained in the cage. I would clean and refill the water bottle and food bowl daily. A clean cage will result in a happy and healthy hamster. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Thanks for reaching out about Little Buddy. He could be scared or ill. Does he appear to have maintained weight? If he is not using the wheel and the cage is too small, take the wheel out to give him more room. Monitor food intake and defecation. If concerns continue, a veterinary visit is recommended. Good luck.

Oxbow has the best and highest quality products for small animals. I would use them. https://www.amazon.ca/s?k=oxbow+hamster+treats&crid=3T6HOVJLD89VW&sprefix=oxbow+hamster%2Caps%2C159&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_6_13 I am not familiar with the Living World brand as we don't have that here in the U.S. so it is difficult for me to comment on that.
