It depends on the personality of your cat and the incoming dog. If your cat is at all skittish, or has never seen a dog before you should proceed with caution. It may be stressful for your cat to have a dog around. If the dog has never been around cats the stress level could increase. If both the dog and your cat are pretty laid back it could be just fine. I'd keep them separated for a day if you do decide to try dogsitting and then start a gradual introduction. Feliway or similar pheromone sprays can help reduce stress for your kitty as well: https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/cat/cat-health-and-wellness/cat-diffusers/comfort-zone-calming-diffuser-kit-for-cat

Yes. Any domesticated, licensed, vaccinated companion animals are welcome to accompany you to your visit to Petco. All visiting pets are required to be appropriately restrained (leash, carrier, travel habitat). Please note that any pet found to pose a danger to other animals, customers, or Petco Partners will be asked to leave to preserve the safety of all pets and people in the store.

Charlie is so cute! Congratulations! I always recommend looking into pet insurance. We do not have pet insurance but here are a few different companies that provide good insurance for your pet. I would call and get quotes from them and see what they cover. I would look at: Petplan: https://www.gopetplan.com Trupanion: https://trupanion.com/ppc/best-care3?gclid=Cj0KCQiAl8rQBRDrARIsAEW_To9J9FgDp4EL0J01sFWNjI8Qm67dr7ADIYKepw311YUFv5MPhMdRm2waAq6AEALw_wcB ASPCA: https://www.aspcapetinsurance.com/ppc-17/confident?prioritycode=PPC_Brand&gclid=Cj0KCQiAl8rQBRDrARIsAEW_To-bMdYW5ztIL66GftIE-c0gaOLFG3xkvr8ezEFF76FLehYK8VBqiCUaApiHEALw_wcB#/start Figo: https://figopetinsurance.com/?&gclid=Cj0KCQiAl8rQBRDrARIsAEW_To9S9Q2Esru6qbt3iNGDIJy-CPe8qDedVasCoG_bCBidClnU7ER2f7QaApukEALw_wcB Nationwide: https://www.petinsurance.com/ppc-dog.aspx?src=GoogleSearch&OM=CI0418&gclid=Cj0KCQiAl8rQBRDrARIsAEW_To9M0lSK4SC-sL_Ep_fX4tg3gIqXWBYUvksJUDWph2_olYZ572AP0SoaAnlgEALw_wcB Thank you for using Boop by

The calming sprays can help but every pet responds differently. This sounds like this is quite the event! The following links may help. They are not all geared toward moving but the information could still be applied: https://www.petcoach.co/article/moving-with-your-dog-to-a-new-home/ https://www.petcoach.co/article/how-to-travel-with-a-cat/ https://www.petcoach.co/article/bringing-your-cat-home-how-to-prepare-for-an-easy-transition/ https://www.petcoach.co/article/7-natural-treatments-for-dog-anxiety/ https://www.petcoach.co/article/how-to-help-a-dog-with-car-anxiety/ I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

My sincere apologies for the confusion, as well as the time you spent traveling and ultimately not being able to get help for Bandit. The Vetco Clinics only provide vaccinations and a few services for well patients, such as routine blood work, fecal exams, and the prescription of flea/tick and heartworm preventives. I will certainly pass your concerns along to the web design team to ensure that any confusion is resolved. In the meantime, I can let you know that we do have a housecall service in San Diego, and if you would like to get in touch with us by calling (858) 524-3370 or by emailing housecalls@petcoach.co, we'd be happy to schedule a home visit to get Bandit feeling better.
