Feed a commercial pelleted diet (Harrison's, Roudybush, Lafeber, Pretty Bird or Exact) supplemented with a small amount of a fortified seed mix, fresh greens and vegetables and cooked foods such as grains, beans and pastas. You can even offer a bit of scrambled eggs, shells included, occasionally.

Hi a few days ago I found this bird in snow and one of his wings was broken.I took him for operation and the surgeon put pin in his wing. For food I give him wheat but he dont eat alot and he have diarrhea. what food is appropriate for him? and Also
Thanks for reaching out about Edgard and including photos. He appears to be a pigeon. Pigeons eat vegetables (grated or chopped), seeds and can be offered some avian pellets. Diarrhea is sometimes difficult to differentiate from polyuria (increased urination). If not eating well, likely more urine and less feces. Syringe feed if needed. Good luck.

So the bird food had a lot of mouse droplets in it even in the bag I didn't expect it at all and now as you see in the picture they are waiting for their food I have to go get some but that will take some time how long can they without food i can giv
If the food is full of mouse droppings it is best to purchase new food ASAP. While treats can be given, they are not a balanced diet, and a new food should be purchased and given as soon as possible to avoid any illness or GI upset. In the future, placing their food in an airtight storage container made from plastic can help prevent rodents from getting to it.

I am not sure what foods you have available in your area but my favorites are Lafeber Nutri-Berries/ Avi-Cakes and Mazuri small bird feed: https://lafeber.com/pet-birds/bird-food/classic-nutri-berries/ https://lafeber.com/pet-birds/bird-food/avi-cakes/ http://www.mazuri.com/mazurismallbirdmaintenance-2.5lb.aspx Fruits, vegetables and greens should account for approximately 20 - 25% of the daily diet. Avocado is reported to be potentially toxic so avoid feeding this. Fruits and vegetables must be washed thoroughly to remove chemicals. Cut them into manageable pieces depending on the size of the bird. It is not necessary to take the skin off. Offer fruits and vegetables in a separate dish. If your bird appears to develop a particular fancy for one food item, reduce its volume or stop feeding it temporarily to promote the eating of other foods. Treat your bird like a small child; offer a small piece of a variety of food items daily and never stop trying. Hope this answers your que

I think my parakeet is egg bound it's not possible for me to take her to the vet I need to have information on what to do to treat her hair at home it's going on five days since I've noticed that there was any symptoms
Thanks for reaching out about Lola. How do you know she is egg bound and not abdominal (coelomic) fluid? Is she has been egg bound for 5 days, that is serious and a veterinary visit is recommended ASAP. Try placing her cage in a steamy bathroom for 10-15 minutes. Most egg binding could be associated with a calcium deficiency so offering dark greens is important. The environment should be warm, 80-85 F range, 24/7. If she does not lay by tomorrow morning, you should see a veterinarian. Good luck.
