This is wonderful of you to do for the homeless. I would buy your dog a coat to wear when it's cold. You can get one at a pet store. Also bring plenty of blankets for him, and a soft dog bed so he does not sleep on the hard ground.

I live in Chicago where it gets really cold in the winter. My puppy is small to medium size. Should I consider in getting her dog booties and coat/ jacket for the winter? Or would she be fine in the winter?
For short walks, a few minutes, she can probably go out as is. If you plan on spending more than 5-10 minutes outside or if Maggie takes a long time to do her business, then you may want to consider booties and a coat. Thanks for using Boop by Petco! It looks a little red but it could just be the coloring of the picture. As long as there is no heat, swelling or discharge it should be ok. There is a doughnut collar that may work- it blows up around the neck. A shirt would work too. One of those should help you out. Good luck and kisses to your pup!

I have a 5lb dog that is a teddy bear breed. We live in WI. Does he need a coat during winter or shoes? I have hear mix thing from people.
Batman is cute!!!! I would recommend a coat for sure when he goes outside. If he is going outside for longer then 10 minutes, I would also recommend boots (if he will wear them). These little ones lose body heat quickly. Thank you for using Pet Coach!

They are considered a small breed. If you can, bring him to the pet store with you for fittings to determine the best sized harness and accessories. If you don't find anything you like there, you can possibly order something online.
