Since the behavior only occurs when you are away and resolves when you get back, I wonder if it is stress related. There are a number of options to decrease stress. You could consider an Adaptil diffuser which would work for a month ( https://www.adaptil.com/us/Products/ADAPTIL-Calm-Home-Diffuser ). I have also had luck with Rescue Remedy ( http://www.bachflower.com/rescue-remedy-pet/ ) which can be added to the water. There are also a number of calming collars and oral supplements that you could try as well. https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/category/dog/dog-health-and-wellness/dog-calming-aids Good luck! I hope that was helpful and gives you some ideas. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

For days where it is very hot, you do want to avoid taking your dog for a walk at the hottest parts of the day (mid-day) especially on paved areas as your dog's feet can get burned. They do sell dog booties that you can put on your dog's feet to help protect them. There are many different companies that make these, one example is https://www.amazon.com/HiPaw-Breathable-Dual-Boots-Protector/dp/B01HS2M7FI/ref=sr_1_7?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1496836452&sr=1-7&keywords=dog+boots. If she has no skin/coat issues, just a gentle oatmeal shampoo is fine for bathing when needed. Most dogs do not need frequent bathing unless they are getting very dirty and bathing too often can dry their skin out. I wouldn't bathe more than every other week unless needed. You can follow this with a creme rinse. I like https://www.amazon.com/Virbac-Epi-Soothe-Shampoo-8-oz/dp/B002CZHYPA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1496836697&sr=8-1&keywords=virbac+episoothe+shampoo and https://www.amazon.com/Epi-Soothe-Cream-Ri

Poor guy. Since it has been more than 24-48 hrs with this problem, I would suggest taking Scout to your local vet to have his stool tested for intestinal parasites. He may have picked up something from the local dam, which often causes loose stool but otherwise a normal acting dog. The vet can prescribe the appropriate dewormer and/or antibiotic to clear things up if he comes up positive. Until he can get seen you can give him an over the counter probiotic such as Culturelle and 1-2 tsp of canned pumpkin (not the pie filling) in his food daily to help solidify his stools somewhat. You also can try a local dewormer, if available in your area, to see if this resolves the loose stools. I hope that Scout's stools clear up soon! Best wishes and take care!

It sounds as though Skye may have anxiety when travelling. I would recommend using a product called NaturVet Quiet Moments Calm Chews with Melatonin, which can be found online quite easily. I would also consider using products such as Rescue Remedy for dogs and an Adaptil Pheremone collar, which also can be found online. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.

Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. If the puppy pads do not work, I would recommend a product called Fresh Patch, which you can order online. I have found that potty training is much more successful with this product. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
