Congrats on your new addition! It looks like you have everything you need. A water bottle wasn't listed, so if you don't have one be sure to pick one up at the local Petco. Rabbit safe chew toys can also be found at the store. Melo can eat as much timothy hay, oat hay or similar grasses as he wants. Do not feed him any alfalfa and limit pellets to about 1/8 cup daily. he can get a cup or two of fresh greens daily as well. If you have any additional questions, you can post them here.

I have adopted a puppy mill dog who is not responding to being ina home that loves her so much. She is so skiddish and overly garded. can you recommend a calming medicine I can get at Petco.
You can try HomeoPet for anxiety. They sell it at PetCo. For my terrified puppy mill dog I used the supplement Solliquin. Another product people recommend is rescue remedy. A pheromone diffuser can help as well. My dog took several years to relax in our home. I recommend having places for Brandy to hide and get away when she wants. Letting her come to you and not forcing the situation is best. Have treats and toys available to get her interested in being with you. My boy was much worse when picked up or restrained. He does better when he can get on the couch and sit with me as long as I don’t physically hold him or pick him up. The best thing for him was taking him to obedience class. He loved being with other dogs and learned quickly. He became more confident and relaxed from the classes. My pet mouse is sneezing a lot. On her contract it says I can take her to the vet and petco will wave the fees since I’ve only had her a week. How do I do that?
I'm sorry to hear little Sox is sneezing. I'm not positive of the process but I believe you would first need to call Petco and speak with the manager. They may have a veterinarian on staff who sees all their pets. Otherwise ask what the process is and how you would be reimbursed. Call them asap! Best of luck!

Hi there, I have a guinea pig and he has always been really skiddish when I go to get him out of his cage by after I hold him he seems calmed down. Is there anything I can do to maybe make him more comfortable being taken out?
I also have had skittish guinea pigs, so I can relate to your problem! Things that may be helpful are making the experience positive when he comes out - this may include favorite food items. You may also try getting into a routine when you are going to pick Spice up. If he has a pigloo or other hidey house, you can encourage him to go in there every time he is being picked up, and then he won’t be surprised when it happens. Thanks for using Boop by Petco! What an exciting time. You would need to start by getting a high quality diet (I like the Purina Pro Plan diets though there are plenty to choose from). Also, a dog bed and toys will be important as well. I recommend that you check with your veterinarian to get him in for initiation of vaccines and to start other preventative care medications such as flea and tick preventatives and heartworm preventatives.
