Hello. Thank you for using Boop by Petco. It would be much easier for us to give you advice if we could see what you are referring to. Can you please post again with some photos? All I can advise you to do without seeing photos is to soak the feet in dilute Betadine solution (1:10 dilution) for 10 minutes twice a day. Please post again with photos so we can better help you. Thank you!

It seems she might need a small kennel. There should only be enough room for her to stand up and turn a complete circle. Any other room then they tend to soil in one area and lay in another so they do not get dirty. Puppies tend to get distracted easily and may find playing and exploring outside more important than going to the bathroom. I would start taking her out on leash and staying close by you reward her with treats as she goes in the correct place.

I understand how frustrating it can be to get a dog comfortable in a kennel. There are a number of reasons that it is beneficial to get a dog comfortable being in a kennel, so I do think it is worth continuing to try. If Jasper needs to be kept quiet after surgery or for any other reason, we certainly want him to be comfortable in the kennel. For now, you might consider feeding him his meals in the kennel (without closing him in it). The goal would be for him to run into the kennel excited for food and associate it only with feeding. I am attaching a handout below that may have more ideas for you. https://www.veterinarypartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S=0&C=0&A=1129 However I also don't think it's necessarily a problem for Jasper to sleep in your bed as long as you are comfortable with that. I am attaching a handout below that discusses reasons to have a dog sleep in a crate instead of a bed. You will have to make the best decision for your house as far as that goes, but you could al

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your dog. Dogs will shred beds for several reasons. The first is from anxiety from being crated. This can be accompanied drooling, pacing and urination/defecation in the kennel. Next, dogs can rip up a bed out of boredom. Other dogs are destructive by nature and have a high desire to chew. The bed will satisfy this desire. It will likely be best not to leave a bed in the kennel. I hope this information helps!

Hi there and thanks for posting on Boop by Petco. Sounds like Liberty may be getting close to giving birth- I would encourage her now if possible. Dogs, when they are close to whelping, do seek out nesting areas on their own without assistance most times. She may have found underneath your deck a safe spot to give birth, but if it is cold out at all, I would try and keep her inside the house if possible. When taking her outside to potty, you may want to leash walk her out so she doesn't hide underneath the deck or other places that may be a less than ideal area for her. I hope this helps and good luck with the new pups!
