Hi and thanks for posting. Levotiroxina is a drug used to treat hypothyroidism. This is only available through prescription from Jacob's veterinarian. It is not an over the counter drug. I hope this helps!

Hello, thank you for using Boop by Petco. In the future if you have an emergent question (especially pertaining to possible medication toxicity) it is best to call your local ER vet as we are not an emergency service and cannot guarantee an immediate response. Your dog should be just fine having eaten those medications. The apoquel and thyroid medication doses are not worrisome at all. The normal Vetoryl dosing for dogs is 1-3mg/pound so at 12 pounds, a 10mg tablet should not be a problem. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Hello there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. Based on Bismarck's weight you provided me with, the starting Eltroxin dose is typically 20 micrograms / kg (0.02mg/kg) by mouth twice daily. This would put Bismarck at about 1.6mg twice daily. However, it should be noted that we typically do not exceed 0.8mg twice daily. For cases like this, I would generally start with the 0.6mg Levothyroxine and then recheck the thyroid level in 3-4 weeks to see if an adjustment needs to be made. I keep doing this until the thyroid level has been corrected. Also keep in mind that if Bismarck is sick, the thyroid level could be falsely decreased, a condition known as euthyroid sick syndrome. I would confirm that he is indeed hypothyroid by sending out a free-T4. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further!

We are not in a position to prescribe medication for your pet. The results you show here are not showing enough proof for the need for thyroid medications unless she is showing very clear symptoms in which case a free t4 ft4 test should be completed. I recommend repeating in 4-6weeks to track changes. I would be more concerned about her elevated bun and creatinine which may indicate kidney disease and should be investigated with urine tests by your vet to determine the concentrating ability of the kidneys

We don't sell prescription drugs here since we are only a consulting forum. However, if you want to do comparison prices for drugs then the best resource is https://www.goodrx.com OR calling the pharmacy of your choosing directly. I wish you all the best and hope that you can find an affordable price for your pets medication. Take care!
