Poor guy. He is likely just stressed from the move. I would try to stick with one food here moving forward to see if you can entice him to eat. My newly introduced cat also went on food strike for 4 days, so this isn't terribly unusual for cats unfortunately, but it is quite nerve racking. I would suggest getting a Feliway diffuser to help calm Tippy down and help him during this transition period. Also Zylkene supplements are a great anti-anxiety medication for cats that is available without a prescription. You can find these online through Chewy or Amazon. I hope that Tippy adjusts soon to his new home and starts to eat well. If you notice any alarming signs of illness (trying to urinate and straining, increased vocalization while in the litterbox, or vomiting), then it is best to get him evaluated by your vet. If he otherwise seems fine, then it is ok to try the suggestions above to help him adapt to his new home quicker. Best of luck moving forward. Take care.

I'm sorry to hear that Tippy is having a hard time adjusting. I would recommend a couple of things. I would try to decrease stress as much as possible. That may mean closing the door to the room that Tippy is in during the day to give her a "safe" place to be. You could also add a Feliway Diffuser ( https://www.feliway.com ) to your house. This is a calming pheromone that will work for a month. I have also had luck with Rescue Remedy ( http://www.bachflower.com/rescue-remedy-pet/ ) which can be added to the water. You could also consider calming music specially for cats ( http://throughadogsear.com/tace/through-a-cats-ear-1-music-for-calming/ ). But Tippy may just need more time, so don't rush things. I would leave her food in her "safe" area and just give her time. I know it seems like 6 weeks is a long time, but hopefully some additional calming techniques will help. If they do not help, you can always consider discussing an anti-anxiety medication with your veterinarian. Goo

Hi there! Hunny Cat is very cute! I believe it's better to feed cats canned food. It has more moisture and adds a little bit more hydration to their daily intake. Later in life, cats can commonly develop kidney disease and/or urinary bladder disease. In both cases, cats will benefit greatly from the increased water content of a canned diet. The canned food is a lot better too to help keep an indoor cat's weight in check. All indoor cats have a tendency to become overweight, as they don't exercise as much as feral cats. Since cats usually will ingest the canned food right away, it is easier to portion the food out and also provide cats with meal times. This is very helpful to increase their metabolism, and to help discourage them from gaining weight. Far too often, we see cats being fed a pile of dried food in a bowl where they eat buffet-style on and off all day long. This can easily lead to weight gain and obesity, as well as all sorts of health problems. Nutro is good food, and so

All cat foods now contain taurine which is an essential amino acid for cats. I personally feed all my animals Hills food since they do a lot a scientific research and their foods are based on optimal nutrients, not excessive nutrients that can add weight or unnecessary stress on the internal organs.
