Hello. I’m not exactly sure what they meant when they said a “double tail”. There really is no such thing. This large bump may be a cyst or an abscess. It definitely needs to be checked out by your veterinarian. A new puppy should always have a veterinarian examine them to look for problems within 1-3 days after purchase/adoption. This puppy also needs vaccinations and checked for parasites. Your veterinarian can address the tail and take care of the other preventive care things that need to be done. Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Tiggy! He is adorable and looks to be a tabby domestic shorthair. I think the easiest thing to do is check for fleas. Fleas love the tail area and are very itchy. I would also treat for fleas. Over the counter options are Frontline or the Seresto collar. I wish you the best!

It sounds like Puppy may not like his food, which is why he isn't eating. You can certainly try Tails puppy food to see if he likes it, or you can try a high quality store brand like Royal Canin or Hill's Science diet. I recommend trying a different food that may be more palatable for him.
