The safest flea shampoo for a cat is actually Dawn dish soap or baby shampoo. It is very mild and gentle and does well for killing fleas. After a bath you can try frontline or advantage topical if old enough as those do no require prescriptions

My cat had had fleas for awhile and my house got infested , I left my house with my cat to my moms house and before that I gave him a flea bath, but last night I found about 30 fleas on my bed with him , am I able to give him another bath ?
Hi there. I don't recommend using flea dips or shampoos on cats, as the chemicals in these products are quite strong and can be toxic. Instead, I would recommend getting a good-quality flea control medication from your veterinarian, such as Revolution or Bravecto. These products are safe for cats, and will be much more effective than an OTC shampoo.

In general, flea shampoos are not effective and only serve to cause skin irritation. Also use caution when choosing topical flea prevention from less known brands, as many have been shown to be quite unsafe and ineffective. If your cats have a flea infestation, I would recommend giving your cats oral Capstar because this will kill adult fleas within 30 minutes, but it will not provide ongoing flea prevention. Simultaneously, apply a weight-appropriate dose of a high quality topical product for flea prevention (such as Advantage or Revolution) to all cats in the household. Bathing should not be necessary. However, if you find an excessive amount of flea dirt and debris on your cats that you want to wash off, you can bathe them in a gentle baby shampoo or oatmeal based pet shampoo. Should you choose to bathe them, be sure to wait at least 2-3 days after applying any topical flea prevention. I hope this helps!

My cat has recently developed lot of flees on his fur. I have been hearing some very good reviews about himalaya erina shampoo for cats which is quite popular here in India. Will using the shampoo be safe for my cat?
If the infestation is massive I would recommend to use a prescription products against fleas (which is generally speaking 100% effective) Spot ons like Bravecto spot on (ticks as well) or tablets like Comfortis are good products. A good house spray would be Indoorex. If you don't want to apply a topical then an oral flea pill is better. Flea shampoos only work for the moment they are on the cat and they will sting her if she has open sores. Also, there is no residual flea repellant effect.
