Hi there and thanks for your post on Boop by Petco! I would recommend calming supplements for your pets that have L-theanine in them which can have a calming effect. I would recommend a product called Composure from VetriScience which comes in a liquid and chewable form. If you have proof that the dogs have a current negative heartworm test (current means a test within the last year) then you can get the product at any one of our VETCO vaccination clinics. If you do not have proof of a negative heartworm test, you can get the test done at the clinic and then you can buy the Interceptor (or any type of heartworm prevention). Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I am sorry Sam isn't doing well! I think at this point Same needs to be seen before Monday. Since he is now vomiting for 2 days and not eating that is more concerning than just diarrhea. Possible causes for these signs are: viral or bacterial infections, foreign body, dietary indiscretion (ate something gross), toxins, intestinal parasites. He may need blood work and X-rays of his belly to help find out the exact reason. I recommend bringing a stool sample with you if you can. I would stop trying to give him the probiotic and the antibiotic since he is vomiting. I hope this helps and I wish Sam the best!

Unfortunately in order to prescribe medication we are legally required to have examined the animal to establish a “vet-client-patient relationship” so we cannot call in prescriptions with online consults. You will need to touch base with your regular vet to get Kylo’s medication.

Yes, you could wait however I am not sure why your current vet cannot call in a prescription to a compounding pharmacy and have the medication compounded into a flavored liquid or tasty chew tab or even a tiny tab (which is MUCH easier to administer). They can make it into many different forms as you will see on the link below. I suggest you ask your vet to do this. All they need to do is call Wedgewood Pharmacy.
