I gave my dog a Previcox pill (half of 227 mg) a couple nights ago for sudden pain he was having after going to the park (he had FHO surgery couple months ago) He was still in pain so today the vet prescribed him Vetprofen 100mg to take for 15 days.
Hello, thank you for using Boop by Petco. Great question! No, I would not be worried about this scenario. Typically we don't like to give two different NSAIDs very close together but that is mostly when a dog has been on one long-term and we want to switch to another. Has only having one dose of previcox a few days is not really concerning. The main reason we worry is the potential for gastric ulceration. If you want to be cautious you could give him some omeprazole for a week but it would be best to contact your vet before adding in any other medications. Hope this helps. Best wishes!

My personal preference, completed unrelated to Boop by Petco or Petco, would be Cosequin ( http://www.cosequin.com/dogs/ ) or Dasuquin ( http://www.dasuquin.com/en/products/#dog ). Both are made by Nutromax Labs.

Hi and thanks for posting on Boop by Petco! OraVet is great, but there are other options out there as well that may be more available. I would recommend oral health products that are approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council. I have linked a list of approved products below. There's panosteitis and theres hip/elbow dysphasia. NSAIDs given for pain management, may destroy their livers. Supplements may do wonders, but may also have no effect. What are some home remedies, or supplements that will possibly work for both? In
Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern. Thankfully panosteitis is a self limiting disease and will resolve. The hip / elbow dysplasia can be quite uncomfortable and may need surgical intervention if severe enough by an orthopedic surgeon. NSAIDs are ok to give short term but long term is where you may see liver damage. I always start with a conservative approach for arthritis / joint discomfort. Below are the products I would recommend for Rogue and starting these early may be beneficial in the long run. Some of these products you will only be able to purchase from your vet. Hello. Honestly, I recommend either Nordic Naturals or Bayer Free Form Snip Tips. Both of these are highly recommended by veterinary dermatologists, too. You will need to call other veterinarians to see who carries Cytopoint.
