I really like Virbac's line of dermatologic products, and their Epi-Otic is a great all-purpose ear cleanser for dogs. It is available over the counter, and you can order it from DrsFosterandSmith.com or Amazon.

I really like the Douxo Micellar Solution. It is great at breaking up waxy debris in the ears, it is gentle, and safe if the eardrum is not intact. Here is the link to purchase it on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00G3DN3ZW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1515718924&sr=8-1&keywords=douxo+micellar+solution&dpPl=1&dpID=318m8cDzvCL&ref=plSrch Thank you for using Boop by Petco!

There are lots of ear cleaners for dogs on the market, so you definitely have a number of different choices :) My favorite preventative cleaner for dogs who are prone to yeast infections is MalAcetic Otic Cleanser - it's a good cleaning and drying agent, and keeps the pH low to make the ear canal less inviting for yeast and bacteria. You should be able to find it (or something similar) online from most pet retailers.

I would ideally recommend a veterinary visit as ear infections are often times a mixed population of yeast and different bacteria. Or ear mites may play a role as well. You can try using an over-the-counter ear cleaner every other day for a few days but if that does not cleared up a veterinary visit for ear cytology and medication is recommended. Epi Otic is a good general ear cleaner. . https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0056EAKSM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apis_1501590855840 The home remedies that use vinegar or alcohol tend to be very irritating or painful with infected ear so I don't recommend those.

Hi, thanks for using PerCoach! Ear mites are very itchy. But you can’t tell if is ear mites, a bacterial or yeast ear infection or just excessive wax with out examining the wax under a microscope. Your vet can do this. You can also start cleaning her ears with an ear cleaner. I’d flush them every other day for 2 weeks then twice weekly for a month then once weekly long term. https://m.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3307+61+23848&pcatid=23848 Have a good day!
