Mice make very fun little pets! You will want to use a bedding substrate that is dust free. I recommend Care Fresh. It will need to be changed about once weekly. They love the have the little wheels to run in and most of them enjoy another mouse for company. You can give them a sock to make a nest out of but it should not be the primary bedding. In general you will not need an additional heat source as long as the house is warm. Keep the cage away from drafty windows and in a warm room. Mice also like to have toilet paper tubes and boxes to play and hide in. Make sure as well that you are feeding an appropriate diet meant for mice. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Change the bedding. If you are using pine or cedar, it can cause irritation or allergies. Use aspen shavings or recycled paper pellets. If he has an open wound, he should see a veterinarian. Infection is a concern and Zeus may need antibiotics.

The carrier is just meant for transport but they could stay in there for 6 hours or so. The cage is where these guys should live. Make sure they have a small wheel to run in (as mice LOVE these) and you can purchase one of the clear plastic balls that they can run in on the ground. Mice can't really be house broken unfortunately. At least clean up is small. Please post again if you have any further questions!

I recommend to stick with toys meant for rodents. It's hard to know if toxicity is a potential concern but the small threads could become wrapped around his teeth. Many mice like to chew on cardboard boxes and toilet paper rolls. They also make wooden toys for rodents. The clear exercise balls and a running wheel will also be fun for Frankie. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Any of these foods are fine. Your mice need exercise. You should get them a running wheel and maybe a feed ball (a ball that has a small hole through which food can fall out when the mouse plays with the ball.
