There are so many high quality foods available for dogs that it can be confusing, and marketing becomes the biggest tool that food companies have to try to give their food the "edge." Be aware that this has led to A LOT of general misinformation. I give you this information openly and honestly as a professional who has devoted the last 10+ years to the health and care of pets. Dogs (and wolves for that matter) are omnivores, meaning they have evolved to seek to eat and digest meat AND plant material. In comparison, cats (and big cats such as lions, etc) are obligate carnivores, meaning they absolutely require meat as their primary food source. While some dogs may have sensitivities to diets with grain, many dogs do not. Just like people. And for those who do NOT have a problem with grains, they are a healthy contribution to the diet. That is just a fact. The trend to favoring "grain -free" diets has been pushed by marketing and the trend of fad diets for people that fav

It is very difficult for us to recommend products when we don't know what is available to you in your country. Here in the US we would recommend products like these: ( https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/kaytee-timothy-hay-baked-apple-small-animal-treats ) ( https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/oxbow-15-oz-oxbow-alfalfa-hay ) ( https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/you-and-me-small-animal-grape-wood-chews ) I don't think dog biscuits are the best option.

Fromm is perfectly fine for Mila. Dogs don't even have a third the taste buds humans do (1,706 compared to our 9,000!), so they don't need a variety in food. In all honestly, Mila would be just fine eating the same food day in and out for the rest of her life. Changing her food too often leads to a picky eater, which you want to avoid. You can give her the occasional treat, such as pig ears, hard boiled egg (no shell), or Beggin' strips. My dogs personally love pig ears! I hope this helps.

While Halloween may be fun for us, it can be stressful for pets. Before the trick-or-treaters start ringing the doorbell, be sure that your pet is safely confined in a crate or room so that they don’t escape amidst the chaos. Keep any candy or treats out of reach of pets. Chocolate is toxic to pets, and many other treats or candies can lead to gastrointestinal upset or pancreatitis. If your pet becomes excessively anxious when the doorbell rings repeatedly, discuss solutions with your veterinarian.

Hello, thank you for using Boop by Petco. It sounds like PhatPhat has underlying allergies. That being said, it is not likely to be a true food allergy. If you play the odds, it is more likely to be an environmental allergy. The only way to know for sure if she has a food allergy is to have her allergy tested. I would really recommend you have that done. To answer your question specifically about dog food that is small bites and no red dye, I would recommend this one. ( https://nutro.com/shop-dogs/natural-dry-dog-food/small-bites-adult-lamb-sweet-potato-recipe ) Hope this helps. Best wishes.
