I would recommend not taking him to the dog park. I have seen a lot of dog's come in with irritated eyes when there were wildfires last time. It can bother their eyes and lungs. Thank you for using Boop by Petco.

I am afraid you cannot fix this. At the age of 13 she is not really willing and able to play wild like a young dog may want to play. She will likely also suffer from arthritis, so playing and running more than at home may hurt. If she is not taking an NSAID or pain medicine for arthritis, and if she is showing signs of stiffness in the morning, less activity, then you should take her to your vet for an exam and prescription for arthritis pain. Once she is not painful anymore, she may want to play wild again. There is also a possibility that she has suffered a trauma during the fight with the coyote and that this is generally making her more careful and less trusting with other dogs. She may get over it with time.

Taste of the Wild is a great food, but it is what we call a premium food. Premium foods do not contain any fillers, so the food is more bio-available. What that means is that Luna will need to eat less of Taste of the Wild than Science Diet. Usually, I recommend starting on the low end of the feeding recommendation on the bag, but sometimes we have to go even lower than that depending on an individual dog's metabolism. So, be sure to monitor Luna's weight because keeping her lean is the best thing for her health. Good luck! I hope that was helpful and answered your question. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Adopting a new dog is so much fun! Whenever bringing a new dog into the home, it should be done slowly with the existing animals already there to make the transition smoothly. The new dog should be kept separated from the other animals when home alone to avoid any problems, and their interactions should be monitored when you are home so you can separate them at any problem. I'm not sure if you have any additional animals in the home, but if you have cats for example, it's normal they will hiss at the dog. Do not allow them to swipe at the dog, separating them right away if you notice the cat getting upset. Also do not allow the dog to chase the cats. If you don't have any other animals in your home, then just be patient with the dog as it acclimates to his new house. Moving into a new home can be stressful, and some dogs may not eat or drink at first. This will pass in time. Shelter dogs should be taken care of just like any other dog: Fed twice a day, make sure they are up t

Poor Tiny! I would be very concerned that she was attacked by a wild animal, and she should see a vet immediately. That's because wild animals carry diseases that can infect dogs, and she should have a booster of her rabies vaccine to be safe. In addition, she will need pain meds, and she should have her wounds treated. The vet can also check her over for internal injuries. Please bring her into a vet now.
