How can I cure this dry feet on my bird? If She has mites, do I spray it on her feet? Her nail is also very wobbly. Is there something wrong? Btw I feel like She needs to get her beak trimmed because every time she bites, it feels like a bee sting. H
Follow directions for application on the container. Some sprays can be used directly on the bird (avoiding the eyes, nose and mouth), others cannot. Clean and sanitize her cage, bowls, perches and toys. Discard anything that cannot be sanitized. Change the cage paper or substrate daily. Provide a mineral block, pumice stone or cuttlebone to maintain beak length. Your avian veterinarian can trim the beak if necessary. Concrete or textured perches can also be used as they promote healthy feet as well as provide natural beak trimming opportunity.

My 2 love birds seem to be bored and unhappy quite a bit, i think that they may need some toys to cheer them up? what would you prefer i do and what kind of toys would be best for them?
Some toys or changes to the environment are definitely a great way to help reduce boredom. You can look for toys that are soft or fuzzy to encourage preening and chewing behavior, or toys that can move around such as swings or bendy ladders for exercise. Treats that have to be pecked at are also great enrichment. Just be sure to choose toys that are designed for your bird's size and activity level. If you have a pair, you may also want to add in a nest or some nesting material to encourage building and give them extra enrichment.

There are a lot of reasons why a bird may have trouble perching including nails that need trimming, perches that are the wrong sizes (usually too small or narrow), muscular or neurologic issues, age, deformities, illness, etc. It is always a good first step to schedule a vet checkup and rule out any more serious causes first. If Haru checks out healthy, making sure he's on a balanced diet can help keep him strong and fit. You may also want to add in some larger perches where he doesn't have to curl his toes all the way around as it may help with balance. Adding in a flat shelf platform to sleep on can also help make sure he stays comfortable while asleep without falling off the person. Making sure all of his food and water dishes are easy to get into and out of can also help if he has trouble getting around.

Keep an eye on her. If she will allow, you can clean it daily with a mild antiseptic cleanser. Provide perches of different shapes, textures and thicknesses to condition her feet. Having only round perches of one size can lead to sores on the feet and overgrown nails.

Thank you for your question, and thank you for being concerned about this bird. It is very kind of you. I am wondering, if you haven't brought it to the attention of the pet store staff, I would recommend starting there. I would agree that I don't think that it is a great idea to bring a sick bird home with you, especially into a situation that can be stressful for some birds (even if a dog is very nice, they can be very scary to a bird of this size). And with non-specific signs of abnormal droppings and sleeping a lot, there are numerous things that could be going on. I would recommend bringing the bird's state to the attention of the pet store, and hopefully they will have it evaluated. There are many pet stores who work directly with veterinarians to treat the animals that reside at their stores, and when the animals are feeling better, they can then go to a new home. I hope that gives you a place to start, and I hope that you are able to help this little bird feel better!
