hey! so i have a crested gecko named Draco and i’ve heard many things about which floorings to use so i wanted to know if the flooring in the picture is good or not
As long as the bark pieces are large enough, the chosen substrate should be fine. Small bark pieces could be accidentally ingested though, so care must be taken when feeding. Other options include reptile carpet or a moss/soil mix.

Hi there! We have a Crested Gecko and have so much fun with him! Don’t worry, they are a great starter reptile and are pretty easy to keep. In the winter we use a red light to keep the tank warmer, but not a specific heat lamp. This keeps the tank warm enough without getting too hot. Also very important is the humidity of the tank. Keeping it spritzed several times a day is necessary. We started with a tank your size and it probably would have been just fine long term, but we ended up purchasing a larger tank because we wanted a different look. Leopard geckos are great "starter" reptiles. They don't require special lighting (UVB) like other reptiles. A 20 gallon tank is big enough for one. Add a heat source, hides and a water bowl and you are good to go. Thanks for reaching out about Oakley. Both Repashy and Pangea are known brands in the industry but there are concerns on whether they are complete diets for a lifetime. It would be recommended to switch from one to the other, periodically. One might have more of one nutrient, where to other might be better supplemented in others. Both should be well fortified in calcium. It is possible to over-supplement with calcium so probably wouldn't add more than once weekly. Good luck.

I have had a leopard gecko for about 8yrs now and I am thinking about changing the substrate to a bioactive one but I don't know if that would be too shocking for him..
Leopard geckos can be very finicky. I probably wouldn’t change his substrate unless he is having problems with the current one. You can attempt to change it but you need to monitor his activity, appetite and attitude closely. I also don’t recommend any sand substrates as they commonly cause intestinal obstruction because they like to eat it. Honestly, the best substrate is an AstroTurf type material because they can’t eat it and it is easy to keep clean, but this can be a big change if he isn’t use to it. I hope this helps!
