Poor pup! You can try a DAP pheromone collar along with a natural calming supplement like Zylkene or Composure if you wish - these are very safe and can be purchased over the counter without a prescription. If you think that she may need something stronger, I would recommend talking with your regular vet about whether she might benefit from prescription anti-anxiety medication, such as alprazolam or trazodone.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco. It sounds like Chester’s noise phobia has worsened with each passing year (which is very common). I’d recommend getting your vet involved. He or she can help you determine if Chester needs long-term anxiety medication or some some to have on hand for times of known fireworks. Do keep up with the collar and the thunder jacket though both help some. (I don’t know how many times he’s worn the jacket but the latest study I heard about said that is has its biggest effect after the 5th wear during a storm/firework episode). My dog keeps going upstairs and sitting on my sisters bed and on my bed (same room). She doesn't usually do this. When we try and remove her she growls and howls. She looks sad.
If this is new, try to think of anything in your normal household routine that may have changed. Chances are that Tinkerbell is reacting to something she finds upsetting or threatening. The other possibility is that she is sick, so I would have her checked by a vet just to rule out that factor. If she is healthy, then the cause is behavioral. My and my sweet Merida (Standard Poodle) were always best friends. She always followed me everywhere, and I don't remember ever yelling at her or hitting her. Recently she has started avoiding me, and she shows signs of fear towards me. She runs away
Something must have scared her and it will take some time to get her to relax again. I would ignore her, go sit in the room with her and have very tasty treats ready. Hopefully Merida will investigate the smell of the treats and you can offer them to her. I would only reach for her if she's relaxed and not hold her if she wants to get away. Gradually she'll learn you always have good treats and she will relax and start to come to you again and then you can start petting and playing with her. Please be calm and speak softly and even play with her toys without looking at her. She should become curious and want to join in. Again this may take some time and if you are too loud or forceful it may make her more fearful. Be patient and things should gradually get back to normal.
