Many symptoms of seizures in horses are similar to those in humans. If you suspect your pet is having an episode, immediately dismount if you are atop your horse. Remove sharp or hard objects from the area as they could injure your horse if they fall. Stay clear of your pet, so you don’t get injured, and contact your vet immediately and ask for emergency assistance. If you can, record the seizure and provide this recording to your vet.
