Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! If the chicken bones were cooked and she chewed them up she likely will be fine. I would call your Vet when they open and have them examine her. They likely will take an X-ray to see how big the pieces are. I hope this helps and I wish Bonnie the best!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Chloe. The pet food industry and its terminology can be very confusing. Meat generally refers to skeletal muscle tissue from the animal source (chicken, beef, etc). Meal meal is formed from tissue leftover after slaughter. It is cooked down and dried to be added as a protein source. Bone meal refers to ground bone and adds calcium and phosphorus to the diet. Milk bones are nice treats for dogs as then come in very small sizes. This helps with portion control as many peta are overweight. I have attached an article that will explain this further. I hope this information helps! http://news.vet.tufts.edu/2017/02/unwholesome-ingredients-in-your-dogs-food/

Bones are not very digestible and organs with the membrane capsule on them are difficult to digest also. I recommend chopping up the bones and organs into small pieces to make them more digestible. Thanks for using Boop by Petco to help you care for Harley.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This is very concerning for a possible gastrointestinal obstruction. I would highly recommend you consider having Homie evaluated as soon as possible for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for this and possibly confirm it. If this is actually diagnosed, surgery may be needed. Another possibility is dietary indiscretion though I am more concerned about an obstruction. Good luck and have a great day!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! A healthy dog will not choice starvation. It sounds like he is trying to train you to give him what he wants. I would hold your ground. Put the meal down, give him an allotted time to eat it and pick it up until the next meal time. It may take 3 days of holding out for him to realize that this is all it will be. No treats until he is eating his food consistently. He could also be out of sorts from you being away and him staying with your family. If he starts acting sick (vomit, diarrhea, etc) or it has been longer than 3 days have your Vet examine him. Also have a talk with your family about feeding expectations and why you don't want things added to his food. Good luck!
