If George gets really upset with other animals in the house, I think it would be best for your family to stay in a hotel if they are bringing their dog. He's an older cat, he deserves to be comfortable in his home, and stress can bring out health problems in cats such as feline idiopathic cystitis. I think his needs come first here. Best of luck.

It's hard to see what is going on from the photo. Bumps on the lips/chin can be a number of things, including feline acne, infections under the skin, allergies, etc. If Leo has trouble getting to the vet, I would definitely look into the sedative option, or see if there is a house call service near you that can come to you. Both of these options are a great way to make veterinary care a little easier. Since bumps on the chin may require having a sample taken of them to determine it's cause, sedatives may be needed regardless to ensure everyone is safe and calm during the procedure. Until you can get to the vet, I would continue to monitor the area for additional changes, keep it clean and dry, and if it is itchy or bothersome, place an Elizabethan (cone) collar on Leo to keep her from rubbing the spot which can lead to more irritation. If she's wary of the carrier, working on getting her used to it by leaving it out at all times and tossing treats in it/feeding her next to it may help
Thank you for submitting your question regarding Leo. I would recommend that he sees his veterinarian as he may have an upper respiratory tract infection. If this is not the case, then he may be experiencing allergies or even have a diseased tooth. You veterinarian will be able to guide you on if diagnostic tests are necessary or if treatment is needed. I hope this information helps!
Poor Leo! It is likely he has serious periodontal disease if he lost teeth. Dental disease can affect appetite because it simply hurts when he eats. There could also be infection and inflammation compounding the problem. Have Leo rechecked by your vet (or a different vet) and ask him/her to do an oral exam. Leo may need a dental cleaning and could have more teeth extracted if necessary. This will require general anesthesia and dental xrays. Discuss treatment options and the procedure with the veterinarian.,
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! If this happens to be in the abdomen, it is possible that this is a nipple. If not, then yes I agree it could be a growth. In that case, I recommend you have Leo evaluated by your veterinarian for a test called fine needle aspirate which is an easy, quick and pain-free procedure which in the majority of cases will help reach a diagnosis to identify what the best course of action is based on the findings. In some cases, a biopsy is needed for a diagnosis. If it truly is benign then removal is not necessarily recommended. However, if it is malignant and it has not spread to other locations, then surgical removal is recommended. Good luck! Keeping my fingers crossed that it is something benign.
