Hopefully it is the same medication, although there have been lawsuits about mislabeled and counterfeit medications with online pharmacies. Also, you do need a prescription from your veterinarian in order to purchase these products. I would recommend visiting with your veterinarian, as there is a possibility they may price match for you. Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This is a great question! I think the ones that are specifically designed for dogs are way more complete. I would recommend you consider Cosequin or Dasuquin as both cover all the joint supplements such as glucosamine and chondroitin that are great for joint health. Both of these are over the counter. You are usually able to see a marked improvement within weeks to a few months. Best of luck!

My dog has a history of urinary infections so is permanently on a diet of Hills UD wet food but I've run out and the tins are out of stock everywhere?
It looks like it is still available through Petsmart and Petco website for an online order, or you can wait until your vet opens on tomorrow to get it there if they keep it in stock. Typically your vet can get it ordered pretty quickly for their patients. Jaydee should be fine if it takes a week or two to get his Rx food. Visit your local pet store and get Hill's Science diet senior food (small bag) for now to hold him over.

Hi there. My dog has what I think is a hot spot. Is this what it is. If so what are the treatment options. Are hot spot products sold at the pet store safe to use?
Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco! Based on the picture, it does appear that this could be a hot spot. I typically recommend using products that soothe and treat infection. What I would recommend would be Well & Good Hydrocortisone spray (at Petco) and Miconahex + Triz spray and apply both of these twice daily until resolved. If there is no improvement within 7 days, I would recommend taking your dog in to be seen by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. My dog hs a pre existing condition,he was diagnosed before with pyoderma in his skin. He got redness,spots underneath,he was give cephalexin in the past I’m trying to order the meds online without prescription.He has the same symptoms
Thank you for contacting Boop by Petco with your question about Bruno. I'm sorry he has been having problems with his skin again. Unfortunately we cannot give a prescription for these medications, it's illegal for us to do so without seeing him in person. You will need a prescription to get these medications, and in order to get that, you will have to take him into the vet. I'd make an appointment for him to be seen in the next couple of days.
