Thank you for submitting your question regarding Hazel. Cold treats can be refreshing for a dog over the summer. One per day should be fine as long as she is not overweight. An easy recipe is as follows: 3 ripe bananas 32oz of plain yogurt 1 cup peanut butter Blend all three ingredients together and pour into an ice cube tray or however you want to freeze them. Freeze them in larger pieces for larger dogs. Always supervise her with a new treat and monitor for any vomiting or diarrhea signifying the new treat does not agree with her. I hope this information helps!

I have no issues with those ingredients. Daisy is a very lucky dog to have someone make her healthy homemade treats! Here is another dog treat recipe that my dogs approve of: https://bitzngiggles.com/homemade-peanut-butter-cheerio-dog-treats/

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! Dogs typically do not have a complete intolerance to dairy, but as it is not a mainstay of their dietary needs, it can cause GI upset. I typically do not recommend giving dogs straight milk, and lower sugar ice creams can have artificial sugars (such as xylitol) which are toxic to dogs. Regular ice cream or cheese can be fine in small amounts but it based on each individual animal. If you want to give your dog anything dairy as a small treat, only start with one thing in very small amounts to see how Brody tolerates it and ensure he doesn't develop any vomiting/diarrhea.

Easy snacks include raw carrots or green beans. You can also dehydrate boneless chicken breasts to use as treats and rewards. Most of the premium diets offer treats in their product lines. These brands include Royal Canin, Canidae, Acana or Orijen.

The key to doing treats while a dog is on an elimination diet is to use treats that have the same ingredients as the food you are trying. Sometimes the easiest way to do this is to use canned food of the variety and flavor that you are using to put in a Kong or bake into treats. Other options would be to use sweet potato chews if the food you are feeding has sweet potatoes in it (which Zignature kangaroo does not) or giving dehydrated chews that are the same meat source that you are feeding (which will be a challenge for a kangaroo food). So, for the food you are feeding right now, the best option may be to use canned Zignature kangaroo to create treats for Lucy. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.
