That actually sounds like very normal behavior for a cat who is adjusting to a major change. It sounds like Arlo is working on getting comfortable in his new environment but isn't so sure about the humans there yet. I would recommend giving him lots of space, not taking the growling personally, and giving him time (probably a week or two, maybe even months) to warm up. Let him be the one who chooses to interact with you, not the other way around. you can definitely use food and offerings of toys to try to entice him to come interact with you, but it should still be his choice. Congratulations on the new addition, I hope he settles in soon!

Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! There could be a few reasons, likely it is that you are paying attention to her and the pitch of your voice. Some cats like a certain way things are said with higher or lower pitches. Your singing voice may be in a range she responds too postitively! Regardless of why she likes it, it is adorable. Have a good day

A sudden change in behavior from the normal can be a sign of illness. Keep an eye on Texas for tonight, and if he's still acting this way in the morning, have him seen by a vet for a health check. Best of luck.

As difficult as it may be, do not take it as a personal insult. It is simply his preference. It may change some day, it may not. I understand you completely though. I am the main caregiver for an African Grey that will attempt to inflict grievous bodily harm to me any chance she gets, yet she is an absolute doll to my wife.
