These signs could be consistent with methimazole related side effects. GI upset and facial itching are some of the most common acute side effects in the first few months of therapy. I would recommend stopping the medication until you can talk to your vet about your concerns. Some cats can not take this medication and thus require an alternate method of treatment. If still eating and drinking that is good. If any of the symptoms worsen an ER visit is advised. I hope this helps and thank you for using Boop by Petco!

Hello. I would stop the Cap Shield Plus because it contains lufernon & so does the Sentinel. Lufernon is useful for flea control, but does not kill adult fleas. You can use a similar product just called Capstar, & this can be used daily, if necessary to kill adult fleas. Or, you can administer it as needed if you see fleas. It is safe to give with the Sentinel. You can also use something else to kill your adult fleas & get ticks, such as Frontline Gold, Advantix or even a Seresto Collar to compliment the Sentinel. Thanks for using Boop by Petco.

Hello and thank you for reaching out to Boop by Petco. I'm sorry to hear about Kimmie's skin issues, but your veterinarian is correct in recommending this diet trial. You may be able to order the food through Chewy.com for cheaper than other places. They often have discounts for your first order, which can be really great. I would not change the diet your veterinarian prescribed, as this will defeat the purpose of the diet trial! I hope this is helpful!
