A lot of dogs don't like the head harness to start, but over time they may become used to it. Try putting it on at home and distracting her with treats. Let her wear just the Halti not attached to the leash when you are at home and can watch her and she can get used to feeling it on her head. You could also try a gentle leader harness where the leash clips to the front of the harness by the chest. What harness is the best and most comfortable for my dog. It would also have to work with a tie out stake. The one i have she just pulls right out of it. I think it might be a little big but the next size down is to small. It is the vest kind. Maybe
I would recommend that you take Halo to a pet store, like PetCo, so you can try out different types of harnesses. There are many different styles, and the best fit will depend on many factors, including the size and shape of Halo. If you use it with a tie-out, then make sure that it can't cinch down tighter when she pulls, since that could be uncomfortable and may cause breathing issues.

We adore our rescue dog and I love to take him on walks but although he’s great with people, he’s very unpredictable with other dogs and he’s extremely prey driven. So much that my 13 year old can’t cntril him if he sees a cat or bunny or something.
Hi there! I would recommend a Gentle Leader head halter - this is a great tool that makes it much easier for anyone, even a child, to walk a large dog and gives you better physical control to prevent lunging when he sees something exciting. Ideally, it would also be a good idea to work with a good reward-based trainer who can help you teach him better walking skills, so that eventually the head halter won't be needed. Want to buy a head halter. How long does it take to condition them to it? Longer than a prong collar(he is on one currently he now walks on a regular harness around blocks with other dog loose leash prongs only for going into dog park etc) do people
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Personally I love the gentle leader muzzle harnesses. It provides owners great control of their dogs. It does take a while to get the dog used to it and they still want to rub their faces on people to get them off. They do that in the exam room with me. I would gradually increase the time you have it on in the house before going on walks and give him treats or peanut butter while he has it on. That way he associates it with good things. I do think so people think it is a muzzle but more and more people know what they are. Personally if it makes your life easier I wouldn't care what some people think. I think people think more highly of the gentle leader than the prong collar. As for walking on a loose leash, it may help with that but it really depends on the dog. Some will take advantage when they know the leash is loose. The best thing to not have a dog pull is to train them to "heel," which is easier to do with the Gentle leader. I hope this he

How lucky of you to visit Germany recently! I would check to see if it's possible to ship the ones you like from Germany to Bosnia & Herzegovina. I'm not very familiar with the inventory of dog harnesses in your country, and given that many things can easily be shipped, it might be the best idea to have the cute and comfortable ones you say in Germany shipped to your home :-)
