My dog has skin issues and ear infection. Is Mometamax for ears?
Mometamax is for the ears. If your do has an allergic dermatitis then he may need an oral antibiotic, anti-histamine, corticosteroid, and/or other medications to help clear up the skin issue. You could also bathe him with a medicated dog shampoo and see if that helps his skin.

Can I safely buy my dog's prescription eye medication online?
Hopefully it is the same medication, although there have been lawsuits about mislabeled and counterfeit medications with online pharmacies. Also, you do need a prescription from your veterinarian in order to purchase these products. I would recommend visiting with your veterinarian, as there is a possibility they may price match for you. My vet gave my cat dog ear drops. Is Mometamax safe for cats?
Mometamax can be used in cats "off label". Meaning the label does not state that it can be used in cats only because the company did not do clinical trials on it in that species (usually because it is very costly). I do no think this was a mistake and I would go ahead and use it as prescribed.

It sounds like you may need a prescription strength medicine to help your dog become more comfortable. Your vet will need to examine your dog to ensure they are otherwise healthy (and to start a valid client/ patient/ vet relationship to legally dispense medicine) and then will decide which medicine would work best. There are newer products such as Apoquel and Cytopoint which may be appropriate. Your vet may also suggest an eye ointment to apply. My dog keeps getting ear infections. What ear drops can I get?
Unfortunately effective ear drops are on prescription, but your vet could do more than one prescription so you can buy them online. The combination of Canaural (with medication) and Sancerum (it is not on prescription and used only for ear cleaning) would be a good first line treatment. Aurizon or Otomax (instead of the Canaural) are more specific products, more indicated for resistant and more difficult cases. Aurizon, Otomax and Canaural can be used for a week each time. Sancerum can be used for routine ears cleaning.
