Wow! Nala is beautiful and very photogenic! I would suspect that Nala has a natural "part" in her fur there (like humans can have a natural part where their hair falls). It is just in a very obvious location, so it is more noticeable than if she were to have it in another location. I suspect it will remain the same throughout her life, so just enjoy her unique part. Thanks for using Boop by Petco!

I would recommend a Rx hypoallergenic diet, because they are super easily digestible and reduce the amount of work the body has to put out to digest the food. Also a daily probiotic would be helpful to promote healthy intestinal flora. Hypoallergenic diets- RX royal canin hypoallergenic hp, Hill's Z/D, Royal canin sensitive digestion Probiotic- Fortiflora (available online), Culturelle (over the counter) I hope this helps. Best wishes with your pet Nala. Take care.

From your description, I wonder if Nala is a feral kitten. A feral kitten is a kitten that is born to a cat who lives outside and is essential wild without very much human contact. The general rule is that if feral kittens are taken away from their mom by the age of 10 weeks that they can get used to humans and become well socialized. If they do not have human contact until after 10 weeks of age, then that can be much more difficult. I would ask your friend where Nala came from and get more information on her situation. In the meantime, I would not push Nala to have any more contact than she is comfortable with. Let her hide and come out when she is ready to. I would also consider adding a Feliway Diffuser ( https://www.feliway.com/us#redirected ) to your house to decrease stress. This is a calming pheromone that will work for a month. I have also had luck with Rescue Remedy ( http://www.bachflower.com/rescue-remedy-pet/ ) which can be added to the water. I would try to find

There might be something in this food that she is allergic to. try a good quality grain free dry food(e.g. Orijen, Accana, Evolve), transition to the new food gradually over a period of 10 days (every day put a little more from the new food and a little less from the old food). keep Nala o the food for 2 months to decide if it helps or not.

Do you have time to run out to a pet store and get a timed feeding bowl? This will release a specific amount of food at set times, and will keep Nala from overeating. You can also put her food into a muffin tin, dividing it equally among the 12 tins. This will also force her to slow down eating and may allow her to get full quicker. Check to see if you can get the timed feeding bowl first. Good luck, I hope this helps!
